Project 1: Transformation of Cubes
Through this assignment, one can learns the combination of creating free 3-dimensional form through Rhino, adding line weight through illustrator, and presenting them as one process of work. The Rhino computer application allows one to explore techniques of spatial intersection.
In the beginning of the exercise, I started with simpler and more symmetrical spaces to subtract from the solid cube. The first three of the series demonstrate the thought process of symmetrical objects arraying from simple to complicated. The last two cubes describe a more random and complicated actions of subtracting dimensional forms from the cubes.
By adding line weight to the "transformed cubes," it helps the viewers to distinguish hidden spaces and apparent spaces within the cubes. Overall, this assignment helps me to not only grasp new designed tool, but also access my organization skill with Indesign.
